Hi my name is Andrew!

Some of my earliest childhood memories are playing with a little ghost minifig, putting him in the little castle and peeking through the doors to see him glow in the dark. Or trying to put all four gold coins into the shark’s mouth like he ate all the pirate’s treasure, and pretending that little piece that came with the set and connected all four coins, was some kind of gold statue or something. Back before I became a filmmaker, I loved building. I was always adjusting and adding to my own version of Lego Island with the sets that I had. When I became interested in photography and filmmaking as a teenager, legos were some of the first tools I used, making stop-motion films. But the more I grew up, the more legos became a hobby I kept to myself.

Today, I’m an independent director and cinematographer based in Colorado and working globally with twenty years of always having a camera in my hands, making all kinds of things. Over the years I’ve made award winning documentaries, short films, music videos, commercials, and as of last year, a feature film that went through theaters across the US and Poland. But when I’m not making films, I’m still building with those delightful plastic building bricks and then photographing them. A close friend once told me other people might actually want this as a service. So here we are.

BrickstOgrams offers a variety of photographic services tailored to your needs. From AFOL MOC showcases and comic-book-ification to consultations and photography mentorships. I never use ai. All my work is just lights, legos and a camera.

Fun fact… Back before we were parents, my wife and I backpacked over 3k miles on the Pacific Crest Trail and Colorado Trail. I’m not yet sure how my intense love of the outdoors, filmmaking, and Legos all come together. And that’s okay.
